What a year it’s been! The year of disruption, the year of adapting, changing and rapidly responding to the unknown, the year of resilience. Although we are not yet at the end of the global pandemic and there is much more for us to continue to focus on and deal with, it is still important to reflect on what has been, what was achieved, what was learnt, what could have been done differently.
There is no doubt we’re still running to keep up with the constantly changing environment and we’re all still facing into the challenges ahead, but we’ve taken the opportunity to pause and reflect on what AFIA has achieved over the past financial year. And it is a LOT, none of which would have happened without your input, support and commitment, to AFIA and our finance community. I’m immensely proud about what we’ve accomplished together this year, the decisions we’ve influenced, the outcomes we have driven, and the solid relationships we continue to build.
We’ve packaged up the financial year in our AFIA Annual Review for you to see how we’re dealing with the immediate, focusing on the future, and building the relevance and impact of your industry association. It is also important to recognise, even celebrate, our achievements, particularly amidst the turmoil and change. In a year where things have been done very differently, you’ll also notice a significant change to our Annual Review. We hope you enjoy reading it and recognising the contribution you have made to improving our industry for the better of customers and the community.
